Adult Gardening Class–Seed Starting Basics

February 17 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Free
Just because it’s winter, doesn’t mean the garden instruction stops! This month, learn all about Seed Starting! Topics covered will include seed viability, germination testing, growth mediums, and a wide variety of easy seed starting techniques. This is the perfect follow-up for the Seed Swap, held on January 27 (you are planning on coming to that, right?).
It doesn’t matter if you are a new or experienced gardener, we would love to welcome you to the teaching garden at Empire Market this season. These classes are come and go–whether you have 15 minutes or an hour, our Master Gardeners can aid you!
Winter classes will be held in the market building.
Master Gardeners Eric and Debbie, of Jasper County Master Gardeners Association, will lead discussions surrounding the major topics of home gardening, as well as provide hands-on learning. Their expert advise and knowledge can help you get started or further your efforts in growing your own foods and native gardens.
