Hobbit Day at the Market

Hobbits love food. Hobbits love gardening. So it just makes sense that the Empire Market would be a perfect place for hobbits!

Join us* this September 23, as the Empire Market, along with the Joplin Public Library, celebrates Hobbit Day, and the birthdays of Bilbo & Frodo!

Here’s some of what you can expect:

*Community-designed Hobbit House photo booth!
*Lord of the Rings-themed story quote walk
*crafts for kids and adults
*Hobbit scavenger hunt
*lots of special food and merchandise from our market vendors
*Dream Theatre actors dressed as LOTR characters!

We encourage you to dress up in your best hobbit (or other fantasy) clothes (as if you’re attending an eleventy first birthday party) and be ready for some fun!
