Volunteer Expo

If you want to get involved in your downtown community, but aren’t quite sure where to start, then our Volunteer Expo is for you! Come join a group of like-minded people and learn how to use your skills to make Joplin a better place to be. This expo will be a low-stakes opportunity for you to discover some of the programs that Downtown Joplin Alliance offers and how you can make them them better.

The Format:
**Introduction to Downtown Joplin Alliance (our Mission, our Strategies, our Board, etc…)
**Introduction to the Main Street Method and the 4 Points (Economic Vitality, Design, Promotions, Organization)

***Explore all the programming options that Downtown Joplin offers: Clean Team; Empire Market; Downtown Now; Third Thursday; Market Gardens; Endangered Properties Program; WineShare; Downtown Holiday Experience; Night Markets; and more!

If you are a current volunteer, we want to challenge you to bring a friend to the expo to show them all the ways they can be involved!

This year, the Expo is occurring during the Empire Market day, so you can browse with our vendors, enjoy some great food in our cafe, and even hunt for some Easter eggs!
