Hobbit Day at the Market!

Hobbits love food. Hobbits love gardening. So it just makes sense that the Empire Market would be a perfect place for hobbits!

Join us* once again this September 20, as the Empire Market celebrates Hobbit Day, and the birthdays of Bilbo & Frodo!

Here’s some of what you can expect:

*Hobbit House photo booth!
*Lord of the Rings-themed story quote walk
*crafts for kids and adults, including hobbit house painting *new* for 2025
*Face painting
*”Riddles in the Dark” scavenger hunt
*lots of special food and merchandise from our market vendors
*Visits from themed characters (if they catch the ferry on time)
*sadly, no wizard fireworks

We encourage you to dress up in your best hobbit (or other fantasy) clothes (as if you’re attending an eleventy-first birthday party) and be ready for some fun, merriment, and perhaps even hijinks!
